Inaugural symposium of ICTM Study-Group-in-the-Making on Music and Dance in Indigenous Postcolonial Contexts

The inaugural symposium of the ICTM Study-Group-in-the-Making on Music and Dance in Indigenous Postcolonial Contexts, “Ontologies and Epistemologies of Indigenous Music and Dance,” will be held at National Dong Hwa University, Taiwan, on 30 November–3 December 2020.

All ICTM members are welcome to join the symposium in Taiwan, either in person or virtually. The preliminary programme is attached below, and more information can be found on the symposium's website.

Researchers who identify as Indigenous are encouraged to join in particular, since the Study Group-in-the-Making is keen to promote Indigenous leadership during their first elections.

The symposium will be held in in collaboration with The National Recording Project for Indigenous Performance in Australia and their 43rd MSA National Conference, and the 4th annual Symposium on Indigenous Arts in the Academy at the Melbourne Conservatorium.
