The Italian Committee of ICTM promotes a collective volume in English on the topic Making ethnomusicology at the time of Youtube (working title). The goal is to stimulate studies about influences and conditionings on music practices (regardless of genre or type of music) due to both the technology for sound recording and the (almost) unlimited possibilities of music spreading offered by the Web. The initiative is reserved for Italian scholars - above all young Phds, graduates, or researches.  The volume will consist of 150-200 pages and will be printed by a specialist publisher.
