Currently in Poland there are slightly different regulations for travelers from EU Member States and travelers outside the EU. If you’re arriving from an EU Member State you can avoid a 10 days quarantine by having a valid EU Covid Certificate that provides information about your vaccination, or convalescent status or negative COVID-19 test result that has been performed no earlier than 48 hours before crossing the border.
If you’re arriving outside of the EU you can avoid the 10 days quarantine by having a valid document that provides information about your vaccination or convalescent status. You cannot validate your arrival with a negative COVID-19 test result.
If you’re arriving in Poland by plane, remember to fill in the Passenger Locator Form (PLF): https://www.gov.pl/web/gov/fill-in-the-passenger-locator-form

ACCOMODATION & MEALS

Accommodation of participants attending in person will have to be organized individually.
Due to the pandemic, accommodation in the buildings belonging to the university is impossible.
If you are looking for something comfortable and close to the city center, there are many possibilities, e.g.:
Moon Hostel (Dominikańska 9A)
Hotel Ikar (Solna 18)
Hotel Palazzo Rosso (Gołębia 6) (airport shuttle is possible)
We provide a coffee service during the symposium and one hot meal on October 21st and 22nd.

PUBLIC TRANSPORT IN POZNAŃ

The symposium will be held at the University Campus in the Collegium Historicum Novum building, which is very well connected to the city center by a fast tram (16 minutes). The main Poznań transport hub is the Rondo Kaponiera. Here you can take a direct tram (12, 14, 15) to the campus. Look for trams heading towards Os. Sobieskiego. This is also your tram stop. You can get to the University Campus straight from the main railway station by tram 12. The tram stop is located right outside the railway station, near the exit between the station and the shopping centre. The easiest way to get to the city (Rondo Kaponiera) from the airport is to take bus 159.
There are various options regarding tickets. Depending on the length of your visit, you can buy a couple of time tickets (there are 15, 45 and 90 minutes available in the price range 4-8 PLN/1-2 EUR) or a 24h ticket that costs 15 PLN. You can also buy a PEKA bearer card which costs 27 PLN (price contains 12 PLN deposit and 15 PLN to spend in public transport). If you choose a PEKA option, remember to check-in and check-out with your card every time you enter or exit a bus or tram. At the end of your visit you will have to return your PEKA card and reclaim your deposit.
Please note that you cannot buy tickets from bus or tram drivers. You can use ticket machines that can be found on more popular stops or a Customer Service Point that is located at the main public hub - Rondo Kaponiera (level -1).
Please check our map below for any information on places and transport around the city. Every place and stop marked on the map has a description visible when you click on it. There are also recommended directions from stops to places of interest that are a little more distant from each other.

SOCIAL EVENTS

We are planning a trip to the Biskupizna region for traditional dance and sing workshops. Biskupizna is the smallest folk microregion in Poland, the rich history and culture of which is cultivated to this day. We also want to take you to the Museum of Musical Instruments and the Croissant Museum. Although, please keep in mind that social events will be organized only if conditions and regulations related to the current epidemiological situation will allow.
