The Study Group on Historical Sources of Traditional Music is happy to present a new publication: Historical Sources of Ethnomusicolgy in Contemporary Debate edited by Susanne Ziegler, Ingrid Akesson, Gerda Lechleitner and Susana Sardo. Cambridge Scholars Publishing 2017. Hardback published, e-book in process.

The anthology presents peer-reviewed articles by eighteen authors, in three sections: 1. Rethinking Archives and Collections. From Fieldwork to Digital Humanities. 2. Written Documents and Musical Instruments as Sources. 3. Individual Memory, Musical Practice and Heritage. The texts originate in recent discussions at the Study Group's symposia.
