Conference/screenings venue: City Museum of Ljubljana, Slovenia

Film presentations: The Symposium will be integrated into the yearly festival Nights in the Old Ljubljana Town, so that symposium participants and hosts will have the opportunity to screen their films to the general public. We welcome the submission of films related to ethnomusicology produced by scholars and independent filmmakers. Criteria utilized in the selection process include documentary or docu-fiction films with broad appeal to both the scholarly community and general audience, medium-high standard of technical quality, in addition to ethnomusicological pertinence. When possible, short post-screening Q&A’s with filmmakers will be arranged.
Deadlines: Participants should upload their film on Vimeo and send a title and synopsis of their film (up to 300 words), including link and pw for access to watching the film, to Matias Isolabella mnisolabella@gmail.com by 30 April 2016. Selected films will be announced by 15 May 2016.
