Join the International Council for Traditional Music!

Please print out the Membership Application for New Members, fill out the form, and mail or fax it with your membership payment to the ICTM Secretariat, or pay online with your credit card here. We will notify you when your application has been received and your membership payment has been processed. Your membership entitles you to the publications for the current year, including two Bulletins (April and October), a membership directory (in December every other year), and the Yearbook for Traditional Music (published in December each year). Institutional subscriptions do not include the Directory.

To be a member in good standing, entitled to participate in the activities of the Council, to vote, and to receive the Council's publications, you must have paid your membership fee for the current year (and any preceding year since you became a member). The Yearbook for Traditional Music, Bulletins and Directory of Traditional Music will be mailed only to paid-up members.

Life Membership

With a single payment, members assure themselves of ICTM publications and membership privileges for their lifetime.

Joint Membership (Life & Ordinary Members)

This category is available for husband/wife, and/or partners who both wish to join the ICTM. They will receive one copy of the Yearbook and the Bulletin, but otherwise both will enjoy all privileges of Ordinary Members.

Ordinary Membership

This category is for individual members who are not students and do not wish to be supporting members.

Student Membership

Members may take advantage of Student Membership rates for a maximum of five years. Please send proof of student status together with your payment.

Supporting Membership

Members who are able to sponsor one (or more) individual(s)/institution(s) in a soft currency country are urged do so by paying an additional fee of US$20.00 for each sponsored membership/subscription. Name and address of the supported member/institution should be sent with the remittance. If a recipient is not named, ICTM will award the supported membership to one (or more) individual(s)/institution(s) in such country.

Corporate Membership

Organizations and/or companies may apply to this category if they wish to subscribe for their organization and up to three individuals. Separate addresses for the three individual members may be provided. Corporate members have the right to vote on ICTM issues at meetings.

Institutional Subscriptions

This category is reserved for institutions and entitles institutional subscribers to receive the Yearbook for Traditional Music and the Bulletins published in April and October of each year. Institutional subscriptions do not include voting rights or the Directory of Traditional Music. Institutional Subscribers may order the Directory of Traditional Music from the ICTM Secretariat at an additional cost (see Publications List & Ordering Information).

Advance Payments

Members may submit their dues in advance for a 2-year period (please double your annual membership rate to calculate your 2-year membership rate).
