Timings
On Monday July 19th registration will be from 17:00, followed by a Welcome Reception and Formal Opening of the Symposium at 19:00. The Symposium will end with a closing dinner at the Castle Hotel on Saturday 25th July. Please make your travel arrangements to coincide with these timings.

Travel
From the airport there are several possibilities for travelling into the centre of Prague. For more information see www.pragueairport.co.uk :
– Prague airport shuttle (price from 290,-CZK/person) to the V Celnici Street (terminal) in the centre of the town (see the map). This runs daily every 30 min. from 7:00 to 24:00, duration around 30 min. For the reservation go to www.prague-airport-shuttle.cz
– Public transport bus number 179 to Metro B Nové Butovice. On the metro continue to Náměsti Republiky where you leave the subway to Masarykovo nádraží which is leading to the street Na Forenci. You will need only one ticket of 26,-CZK, which you have to buy at the machine in the aiport arrival hall and then get stamped on the bus. Duration around 55 min. – Radiotaxi AAA – the average taxi price to the centre is around 650,-CZK

Transport from Prague to Třešť and back will be made by a special bus which will be ordered. It will leave from Prague at the day of the arrival July 19 and from Třešť at the day of the departure July 26. The bus from Prague will start from the Institute of Ethnology of the Academy of Science in the early afternoon (address below). The exact time will be fixed after we know the most convenient time for everybody coming to Prague by plane or train.

According to this information we will decide the exact time of the departure of the bus from the Institute.

Costs for the transport with a special bus will be paid in Czech money around 200,- CZK (8 EUR, rate is 25,38).
For those who plan to arrive at the symposium on their own or because of other circumstances it is possible to use the regular bus transport from the Central bus station Florenc in the centre of Prague (the price is arround 140,- CZK).

Tickets for the bus where the platform number of its departure is indicated are able to be bought in any ticket-office of the Central bus station Florenc.

To travel by train, go to Jihlava and there change to Třešť.

Accommodation
All participants will stay at the hotel of the castle Třešť where the symposium will be held. It is located close (500 m) to the town square, close to the bus stop.

Everyone will need to make their own room reservation by e-mail to: berkova@zamek-trest.cz, or fax: +420 567 224 980, or tel.: +420 567 224 247. You could also complete the reservation form in http://www.zamek-trest.cz where there is more information.
With the reservation it is necessary to mention that you are a participant of ICTM Symposium July 19-26.

There are 20 single, 29 double and 4 triple rooms. The prices for accommodation with breakfast arranged for us are:
single room: 600,- CZK
double room: 1000,- CZK
triple room: 1500,- CZK

Food
Lunch and dinner is available at the dinning room of the castle served at a fixed price of 120,-CZK/lunch and 130,-/dinner, with an option for vegetarians. The choice of meals or any other special requirements for food will be made by each participant at reception on arrival. In case you prefer to have different meals to the set menus offered, the restaurant of the castle is available, but you have to be aware that it takes more time and has different prices.

Payment
The conference fee of 80,- EUR has to be paid in cash after the arrival in Třešť

Payments for accommodation and food will be made at the hotel’s reception on departure.
All types of credit cards are accepted, except American Express.

Options
- A half day excursion will be organised to visit two old towns - Telč and Slavonice which are on the list of UNESCO heritage sites (costs around 300,-CZK).

- An evening workshop with a traditional music and dances from Southern Moravia

- An evening performance of folk ensembles in the local Culture House showing different approaches to the staging of traditional dance in Czech Rep.

Weather
Can be very variable with temperatures of 20 degrees to 30, intensive rain or very hot and dry.
